Entry #8: The Eared Wine Industry Slayer
Ad astra abyssosque*, dear universe travelers. Today we arrive at Mondstadt, the city of freedom and wine. But today we will not just observe the beauties of local architecture and history, we have a special guest for this trip. Looking ahead, don't dare you to misjudge some eared little creature, who we could see around the tavern Cat's Tail! With 99% confidence, I can tell you, that you will not wanna mess with this young lady from the Kätzlein Bloodline family. So let's be nice, and let me introduce to you Diona, the much-esteemed bartender of the Cat's Tail and Mondstadt's wine industry slayer.
If you ever went to the Cat's Tail tavern, the first that meets you here will be the irritated face of the eared bartender with a cocktail shaker in her paws. Don't think that Diona got this job only because she is the perfect mascot of the tavern theme. She is been blessed, or, as Diona thinks by herself, was jinxed, by the Spring Fairy. Whereupon, whatever she ever made tasted like the better drink in the whole world, even if she just mixed a lizard tail, pepper, and literally dust. I see the questions on your faces, like, why did she even try to mix something like this, during her job, and why she thinks that her blessing is the curse? Well, in the real state of affairs, Diona hates alcohol and all outcomes of it.
Diona loves her father very much, and so does he love her back, but the problem is that her father, Draff, also likes alcohol pretty much, so as a result sometimes on days when her dad gives himself the freedom to drink, little Diona stays without fairytale before sleep. Of course, the sadness of a missed fairytales is not the only reason, why she hates alcohol so much. The general fact of how much time it stole from Draff, which he inter could spend with his family is the reason why the eared lady proudly introduced herself to every new acquaintance as "Diona, the Wine Industry Slayer!".
Will Diona really destroy the wine industry of the Mondstadt, or that will stay only in the way of a child's dream, we can only guess, and to make the guessing easier, here the some sources for more information:
